11 huge Home and Away spoilers for next week

What's coming up in Summer Bay?

Next week on Home and Away, the Parata family face a new tragedy.

Elsewhere, Dean feels embarrassed by his mum's love life, while Cash reaches a turning point in his relationship with Jasmine.

Here's a full collection of 11 big moments coming up.

1. Ari's decision devastates his family

Ari reflects on the shocking news that he's terminally ill and the only way he can secure more time is to undergo an extreme surgical procedure. He announces that he doesn't want the surgery.

Mia, Tane and Nikau are all shocked by this, but Ari insists that a life drawn out in prison or a hospital bed is not one that he wants. Instead, he'd rather die on his own terms, surrounded by the people he loves.

2. Ari and Mia get married

Mia struggles to accept Ari's decision, but she realises that they must make the most of the time that he has left. She brings forward their planned wedding, which will now take place in the hospital.

Tane and Nikau dress Ari in a suit, but they refuse to reveal the reason why. All becomes clear when Mia enters the hospital room in her wedding dress.

Ari and Mia improvise their vows as they commit to each other in the tragic circumstances.

3. Ari dies

Ari collapses at the end of the wedding ceremony, leaving his family horrified. Logan assesses him and warns the family that it may be time to prepare for the worst.

Later, the family gather at Ari's bedside as he sings a powerful Māori song, before taking his last breath. Mia, Tane, Nikau and Chloe are all devastated by the death of Ari.

4. Mac breaks down

Ari's tragedy has a ripple effect across the local community, with everyone reflecting on his loss. Dean remembers how Ari saved him from bad decisions and put him on the right path.

Meanwhile, Mac breaks down over Ari's death and initially refuses to confide in Logan. Her reaction takes Logan by surprise, as he hadn't realised that Mac's romantic history with Ari was so serious.

When Logan finds Mac crying in the store room at Salt, he encourages her to open up about the death of her former partner.

5. Ryder's good news is overshadowed by the tragedy

Ryder announces that he has graduated from TAFE. Although he's happy over the news, he wants to keep the celebrations low-key while the Parata family are grieving for Ari.

Alf feels otherwise and arranges a family lunch at the Stewart house to toast Ryder's success. Ryder feels ashamed over drinking champagne and eating fancy food while others are mourning, so he walks out on his own celebratory lunch.

6. Ryder and Theo come up with an idea

Ryder reaches out to Chloe with a supportive text, but he wants to do more to help the Parata family.

Theo suggests they should celebrate Ari with a video project, featuring contributions from members of the local community who want to share their memories. Theo and Ryder are excited over the idea, finally using their video-making skills for good.

7. Felicity bonds with Ryder

Ryder mentions that Ari's death has brought back memories of his own father passing away. He confides in Felicity, aware that she also lost her dad.

Ryder asks Felicity whether the pain ever subsides. She gives him some honest advice in response – admitting that the pain never goes, but a sense of acceptance gets stronger.

8. Ari gets his final send-off

The Parata family hold a tangi for Ari – a traditional Māori funeral rite. Ari's body is kept in the Parata house with an open coffin, while friends and family are invited to pay their last respects to him.

When the time comes to take Ari's body back to New Zealand, Tane, Nikau and the other Māori men perform an emotional haka in his honour.

9. Dean gets embarrassed over Karen and Brett

Karen and Brett reconcile following an intervention from Dean. Unfortunately, the couple go from one extreme to another as they turn the Astonis' farmhouse into their own personal love nest.

Dean is embarrassed to have to think about his mother's sex life and he starts to fear that she's outstaying her welcome in Ziggy's home.

10. Karen and Brett leave the Bay

Ziggy is understanding over the Karen situation, but she warns Dean that they'll have to kick her and Brett out eventually.

Fortunately, Karen and Brett are already making their own plans. Karen announces that she'll be moving in with Brett, so will be leaving the Bay again. Dean is pleased for his mum as she says a heartfelt goodbye in happy circumstances.

11. Cash changes his mind over Jasmine

Cash decides that he wants to move in with Jasmine after all, so he asks Irene if he can have a key to her house. Irene refuses when she finds out that Cash hasn't even spoken to Jasmine about this.

Later, Cash presents Jasmine with his toothbrush as a gift, explaining that he wants them to live together. Jasmine is sceptical over why he has changed his mind so quickly.
